Looking at the evolution of blockchain and different criptocurrencies during this past year we can venture making a few predictions for this coming 2017.
We will be talking not only about blockchain but also about criptocurrency in general.
Perhaps we’ll be right, perhaps not. Maybe technology will once more surprise us with new, unforeseen surprises. We shall see, this time next year, when we look back and think on the following year.
- Criptocurrency users will go above 100 millions worldwide.
Even if it is adding up communities of miners and users of different coins, this is already a great number of digital currency users that will open more spaces for its use and normalisation as a different system of payment.
- More criptocurrencies will implement identity identification systems.
KYC Protocols will be put into place to use criptocurrency because of the need to control the legality of international payments and to avoid criminal and terrorist activities.
- Criptocurrency payments in offline shops and retails.
In the next year we will see how more and more retail stores, restaurants and small business will accept payments with some kind of digital currency.
- Not so positive reactions
While users and usability raise it is possible that we find more obstacles by governments that regard the growing tendency of this economy as a threat to national currency values.
- And some positive ones
Meanwhile other countries have started to accept digital currency as a payment for taxes and fines.
- Blockchain as a synonym of infallibility
Soon enough large corporations will study the deployment of corporative blockchain to register profits and payments instantly, infallibly and transparently.
