Evolution is no longer just something that happens in nature. Evolution is adaptability, and when your environment changes, you either adapt or you are doomed to extinction.

This is also true for professions and businesses, and for how to get things done. And it has been happening since human beings decided to settle down and begin to create communities, societies, occupations and commerce. Or even since before.

Moving from the stone utensils to the copper ones and, eventually, the iron ones, was an improvement for everyone. Can you imagine that someone wouldn’t want to give up their stone tools because they had been like this all their lives?

Like everything else, business models also change, and even Network Marketing has to adapt to the new times.

There was a time when you would have to knock on the door of a house to offer some product. And you could just call someone from the home or office phone. Nowadays, the technologies help us run a business from any place, and we are also fortunate to be able to use social networks to speak about the products or to announce our next presentation or event.

Many people can attend a meeting or training using Skype or Clickmeeting. Even coming from different countries!

Regardless of your upline’s teaching methods and the doubling system, as part of the evolution of all business in the 21st century, you have the choice to learn more on your own. You have the opportunity to decide if you want to take advantage of all the tools that we have today.

That means, on the one hand, that you will keep doing things as they have always been done: talk to people face to face and make contacts in the street. But on the other hand, you can also learn to make people come to you through the new media.

The evolution of network marketing is to take advantage of these new communication channels, social networks, messaging applications, online videos and video calls in groups, online advertising… so that in the end, more people call you, want to talk to you about your business. So that, in the end, you are simply exposing to the public what you have to offer and talk more time to people who really want to know more and less to who will give you excuses.

But for this, it’s not enough just to understand that the way in which we people communicate has changed. You also need to know how to work on yourself and your message, your image and how you present your business to the public.

And like all evolution, it doesn’t just happen overnight.
